ASHER’S POV
I picked up the cup of cola beside me and took a sip as I watched Blair’s expression grow grim. He held a burger in his hand, but had not taken a bite out of it.
“I really hate this,” Blair grumbled with a frown on his brows.
“That Alex is bothering you yeah?” Roy sighed as he took a fry and dunked it in ketchup.
Blair scoffed. “Who else?”
“I hate to agree with Blair, but I feel bothered by him too,” Felix sighed. “I mean, look at the reaction she had to him. He’s important to her, maybe more important than she is to us.”
His words stabbed my chest, opening a wound. I exhaled, the pang in my chest growing. The moment Suzie has told us about Alex, I had very high suspicions about him.
I knew Suzie had no friends in school, so I found it weird that she suddenly found a friend, and in less than a week. I knew Alex was up to something and that his reasons for approaching Suzie and befriending was not pure.
