“Yes.” Jade continued to stuff food into her mouth and calmly replied, “That’s why I want to eat something sour.”
Once he was certain Jade was not joking with him, Easton placed his palm flat against his forehead. “You only told me to put up an act with you, but you didn’t say you were… really pregnant. Does Zephaniah know about this?”
“Yes. I even met him just now at the swimming pool! But I didn’t tell him just how old the baby is.” Once she said that, she stopped moving for a little while and looked at him. Her expression was slightly awkward, and she looked remorseful. “I’m sorry. I was worried that he would suspect something… so I told him it’s yours.”
After all, she did not get his approval, and they were currently just normal friends. She felt a little embarrassed about what she did.
She did not expect Easton to suddenly become silent. After some time, he looked at her seriously. 

Easton glowered. His expression was a little grave, and he did not defend himself. 
Since he was the one who brought Jade over, if something really happened to her, he could not blame anyone else. He would also feel guilty about it. 
After he gave the address to Zephaniah, he gave him his phone number as well and said, “Let’s look for her separately. If you find her first, please give me a call.”
Zephaniah did not wait for him to finish speaking. He did not even bother to look at him and just strode outside. 
Easton was rooted to the spot for a moment. As he looked at Zephaniah’s back, his gaze turned a little dark.

Fortunately, the store manager of a convenience store could speak English. Jade was able to easily borrow a phone charger. She found a place, sat down, and restarted her phone after plugging in the charger for two minutes. 
After she turned on the screen, she went to her contact list, wanting to call Easton. Suddenly, a message popped up on her screen, then another, and yet another. Within half a minute, multiple messages flooded her screen. 
Jade was shocked. 
She blinked and registered the situation. Hastily, she chose a few messages at random and read them. 
All of them were missed calls and messages containing questions from Easton asking her where she was and why she did not pick up her phone.
When she pressed the return key, she unintentionally saw another number, and her gaze was slowly fixed on that number. 
Zephaniah?
He was looking for her?
After remaining dumbfounded for a second, her phone suddenly rang. She was so startled that her hands shivered, but she quickly connected the call. 
“H-Hello.”
“Where are you? Why are you only answering your phone now?” A familiarly deep and steady voice of a man was heard, but for some reason, Jade could sense a hint of anxiety in his voice. 
She zoned out for a while before stiffly replying, “M-My phone ran out of battery until a moment ago.”
“Send me your location. I’ll come over and pick you up.” The man did not ask anything else. 
Jade wanted to ask him why he was coming back to look for her but felt that the question was a little redundant. Even so, she pretended as if nothing was wrong and rejected him. “It’s okay. My phone just got charged. I’ll hail a taxi and go back on my own.”
“Are you sure you can find your way back? This is not our country.” The man ruthlessly mocked her and quickly said, “I’m driving now and can’t get distracted. Send your location to me. I’ll go over now.”
Once he was done talking, he hung up without giving her any chance to reject him. 
Jade felt embarrassed by what he said, and she almost returned a taunting remark. She just had no sense of direction, she was not an idiot. Even if she could not find her way, she knew how to ask for directions! She could also use the GPS. 
After pursing her lips, she still sent her location via WhatsApp. After the long walk, she was tired and did not feel like moving after sitting down. 
While she was waiting, she gave Easton a call. 
“Hey, Easton.”
“Jade, where are you? I’ve been looking for you for a long time! I was so worried!” When he heard her finally pick up her phone,  Easton finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Jade felt incredibly remorseful. “I’m sorry, Easton. I forgot about the time while I was strolling around. I didn’t realize my phone had run out of battery.”
“It’s fine as long as you’re all right. Where are you now? I’ll come and pick you up.”
Jade pouted and hesitated for a few seconds before she suddenly asked, “Easton, are you alone? What about Taylor?”
“Taylor’s still in the hotel. I’m looking for you outside.”
She hesitated for a while before she asked, “T-Then, how did Zephaniah…”
“He’s staying in the same hotel as us. We coincidentally met at the hotel entrance, so I told him about this. I was worried that something might have happened to you, and it would be more convenient if another person could help me,” Easton replied faintly.
After Jade heard that, a well of indescribable emotions rose in her heart, and she replied softly, “Oh.”
So, he just tried to help because of a moral obligation. 
After a while, she calmly said, “Easton, you can go back first. I’m worried about Taylor staying alone in the hotel. Zephaniah’s already here. I’ll just go back with him.”
Easton was a bit worried. “Will both of you quarrel?”
They had just divorced each other, after all. Things would definitely be a little awkward if they met.
Jade instantly smiled. “We’re already divorced, what’s there to argue about? Is he going to abandon a pregnant woman by the road?”
She still knew Zephaniah well. Although they did not have a deep relationship, he was still a gentleman.
In truth, Easton had misunderstood. Over the course of their three-year marriage, they never quarreled, and Zephaniah never lost his temper at her. As for her, she would occasionally throw a tantrum because she was annoyed with their lukewarm life. Yet, he had never argued with her. At most, he would just get irritated. 
She had enough of his lukewarm attitude. Why else would she want to divorce him?
Easton hesitated for a few seconds in his car before his gentle voice traveled through the phone. “All right. Be careful and let me know when you reach the hotel.”
“Okay.”
Jade hung up and was just in time to hear the sound of an engine turning off outside the shop. 
She removed the charger from her phone and stood up. She was just about to go and have a look, but the man had already pushed the door open and entered. He looked at her with a profound gaze and pursed his thin lips, but he still did not say much. “Let’s go.”
It had still been fine when they talked over the phone, but when they met each other, Jade felt a little awkward. She had no idea whether she should put a smile on her face or school her expression. 
She turned her face away, refusing to look at him. She just grabbed her bag and nodded. “Okay.”
The car moved smoothly on the road, and Jade sat in the back. She leaned her head against the car door, which made her look somewhat tired. But she also seemed as if she did not intend to speak. 
The man in front was focused on driving, but for some reason, all his attention would shift to the woman behind him. From time to time, the man would look at the rearview mirror.
Last time, when she rode in his car, she would always naturally sit in the passenger seat. Now, she went straight to the back. He never realized it before, but he could now sense that she had done it deliberately. 
He still had not wrapped his head around his divorce, but she was already used to her current status. She knew that she had to keep a distance from him to the point that even when he wanted to say something, he had lost the right to do so.
The man placed one of his palms on the steering wheel, and he slowly clenched his fist. The expression on his handsome features became even more profound, and a wave of indescribable anger gradually rose in his heart.

The eleventh floor was on a whole new level compared with the floors below. Expensive oil paintings adorned the walls, and even the suites were all amazing. Large floor-to-ceiling windows lined the walls, and the view outside was of the endless sea.    
Easton met his business partner on the cruise ship, and his partner kept inviting him for a chat. 
He had no choice but to ask Jade to take care of Taylor for a while. 
Jade just told him to go ahead with his negotiation. She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of Taylor.”
She put away some of her things and brought Taylor out for a stroll. 
The dining hall in the cruise ship was huge and served food from various countries. Ever since she became two months pregnant, Jade fell in love with sour food, especially Spanish sour soup. She could drink a few bowls of it. 
At that moment, Taylor tugged on Jade’s sleeve.
“What’s wrong?” J
