CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED – BIANCA’S BETRAYAL
Lorenzo looked up, his smile fading at Charlotte's serious expression. "What's wrong, Charlie?"
Bianca stood, her eyes narrowing. "I'm sure whatever it is can wait until morning. We were just-"
"No," Charlotte interrupted firmly. "It can't wait. Lorenzo, please."
Reluctantly, Lorenzo followed Charlotte to a quiet corner of the pub. As soon as they were out of earshot, Charlotte thrust the folder into his hands.
"You need to see this," she said urgently. "It's about Bianca. She's been lying to us, Lorenzo. She's working with the criminals, planning to take over the pub. She... she wants you dead."
Lorenzo's face darkened as he flipped through the documents. "This can't be real," he muttered. "Charlie, where did you get this?"
Before Charlotte could answer, Bianca's voice rang out behind them. "What's going on here?"
Lorenzo whirled around, his expression a mix of anger and confusion. "Care to explain this?" he demanded, waving the folder.
