CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE – A CHANCE TO MOVE CLOSER
Jasmine and Antonio crept forward, using the abandoned equipment as cover. As they got closer, the voices became clearer.
"...biggest score we've ever attempted," Victor was saying. "This heist will put us on the map."
Another voice, gruff and impatient, responded. "And you're sure the Cesaro family won't interfere?"
"Trust me," Victor said confidently. "They're too busy dealing with their own problems right now. This is our chance."
Jasmine's eyes widened as she looked at Antonio. This heist, whatever it was, had to be connected to the attack on Marco. It was too much of a coincidence.
They inched closer, straining to hear more details about the planned heist. Jasmine's foot accidentally knocked against a piece of metal, sending it skittering across the floor.
The voices immediately stopped. "What was that?" someone asked sharply.
"Check it out," Victor commanded.
Jasmine and Antonio froze, their hearts pounding. They could hear footsteps approaching their hiding spot.
