CHAPTER FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY – TRIGGERING MEMORIES
It was during one of these outings, a quiet afternoon at a local botanical garden, that something extraordinary happened. As they strolled among the vibrant flowers, the scent of jasmine wafted through the air. Marco suddenly stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide.
"Jasmine," he said, his voice trembling slightly, "I remember something."
Jasmine's heart leapt, but she forced herself to remain calm. "What is it?" she asked gently.
Marco closed his eyes, concentrating. "It's not... it's not a full memory. More like a feeling. But I remember this scent, and... and you. We were somewhere like this, surrounded by flowers. You were laughing, and I... I felt so happy, so at peace."
