She wandered into the kitchen, where the staff was cleaning up. Antonio, the head chef, looked up as she entered.
"Mrs. Cesaro," he said, his voice tired but relieved. "We did it. We survived General Castillo."
Jasmine managed a small smile. "We did, Antonio. Thanks to you and your team. The food was incredible."
Antonio shook his head. "It wasn't just us. It was all of us, working together. You and Mr. Cesaro... you held it all together out there."
Jasmine leaned against a counter, suddenly feeling the weight of the evening. "It was terrifying," she admitted. "I've never felt pressure like that before."
Antonio nodded sympathetically. "Welcome to the world of high-stakes restauranting, Mrs. Cesaro. It's not for the faint of heart."
Jasmine laughed, a slightly hysterical edge to it. "High-stakes restauranting. Is that what we're calling it now?"
Antonio's expression grew serious. "Mrs. Cesaro, may I speak frankly?"
Jasmine nodded. "Of course, Antonio. Always."
