CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE – THE HONEYMOON FLIGHT
As the plane ascended, Jasmine gazed out the window, watching New York shrink beneath them. She thought about how far she'd come since that fateful day when she'd overheard Ethan with Lila. The pain of that memory had faded, replaced by the warmth of Marco's love and the strength she'd found within herself.
"What are you thinking about?" Marco asked, offering her a glass of champagne.
Jasmine accepted it with a smile. "Just... everything. How lucky I am to have you, to have found a family with the Cesaros."
"We're the lucky ones," Marco replied, clinking his glass against hers. "To new beginnings."
"To new beginnings," Jasmine echoed, taking a sip.
The flight passed in a blur of movies, naps, and quiet conversations. Before they knew it, they were descending into Male International Airport.
As they stepped off the plane, the warm, humid air enveloped them. Jasmine closed her eyes, inhaling deeply. "It smells like paradise."
