As Luca's car sped through the quiet streets of New York, Jasmine looked out at the city lights, a fierce determination burning in her eyes. The Moretti family had no idea who they were dealing with. And she was going to make sure they found out, one way or another.
The morning sun cast long shadows across the bustro's kitchen as Jasmine stood, arms crossed, staring at the empty shelves where fresh produce should have been. Marco entered, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Still nothing from Giovanni?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
Jasmine shook her head, frustration evident in her voice. "Not a word. This is the third delivery he's missed. We can't run a restaurant like this."
Marco sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I know. Father's furious. He's convinced Giovanni's working with Moretti now."
Jasmine turned to face him, surprise etched on her features. "Giovanni? But he's been with us for years. Why would he suddenly switch sides?"
"Money talks," Marco said grimly
