CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR – THE FAMILY’S DEFENCE
They entered the factory silently, spreading out to cover more ground. Jasmine's heart pounded as she crept through the dimly lit corridors, every shadow seeming to hide a potential threat.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted from the far end of the building. Gunshots rang out, followed by shouts and the sound of running feet.
"He's making a run for it!" someone yelled.
Jasmine turned to see Collins sprinting towards a side exit. Without thinking, she gave chase.
"Jasmine, wait!" Don Cesaro called after her, but she was already out the door.
She pursued Collins through a maze of alleyways, her adrenaline pushing her forward. As they turned a corner, Jasmine saw that they had reached a dead end. Collins spun around, his gun trained on her.
"You just don't know when to quit, do you?" he snarled.
Jasmine raised her hands slowly. "It's over, Collins. We have everything. Your communications, your bank records, everything. You can't win this."
