CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO – THE ART MOGUL
Exhausted from their long journey, Jasmine and Gordon finally stepped through the doors of their apartment building, eager to put their feet up and relax. However, the universe seemed to have other plans.
As they approached the elevator, a large sign caught Jasmine's eye: "OUT OF SERVICE DUE TO RENOVATIONS."
"You've got to be kidding me," Gordon groaned, eyeing the stack of luggage they had accumulated.
Jasmine pinched the bridge of her nose, already feeling the beginnings of a headache. "Well, it looks like we're taking the stairs."
With a resigned sigh, they each hoisted their bags and began the arduous trek up five flights of stairs. By the time they reached their floor, both were flushed and out of breath.
"Remind me again why we didn't invest in a first-floor apartment?" Gordon panted, leaning against the wall for support.
Jasmine shot him a playful glare, too winded to form a witty retort.
