CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ONE –THE BLIND DATE
"You look lovely tonight, Jasmine," Claire said, giving her friend a warm hug outside the restaurant. "Bob's really excited to meet you."
Jasmine smoothed her deep red dress nervously. "I don't know why I let you talk me into this blind date thing. What if he's a total dud?"
Claire laughed. "Bob's a great guy - smart, successful, and from what I hear, a real gentleman. Just give him a chance."
Taking a deep breath, Jasmine nodded. "Okay, let's do this."
A few minutes later, a tall, stocky man in an ill-fitting suit approached their table. "Claire! And you must be Jasmine." He extended his hand. "Bob Mitchell, at your service."
"Nice to meet you," Jasmine said, her heart sinking a little at his overly formal demeanor.
As they were seated, Bob immediately launched into a long-winded explanation of the restaurant's farm-to-table philosophy.
