Before Helen could finish, her vision darkened as Julien's lips covered hers. His familiar scent enveloped her. Instinctively, she tried to pull away, but her wrists were firmly held. She couldn't resist; the natural disparity in strength left her helpless. Just as she felt like she was suffocating, he finally let go. She glared at him, her eyes bloodshot.
"Julien Gallagher! You bastard!"
He responded with a low hum. "Yes, I am a bastard."
"Are you insane?"
Helen rarely cursed, and calling someone insane was about as far as she could go. But this was Julien, and he had, indeed, once been sick.
She abruptly fell silent, biting her lip, unsure of what to say.
