"Yes, I failed." Aurora's heart sank into a pit of despair. She hated admitting it, but the reality was unavoidable. In Samuel's heart, she held no place at all.

Aurora knew this was her last chance. After some effort, she tracked down Samuel's whereabouts and dressed carefully, exuding a vulnerable and disheveled look. She avoided everyone else and made her way to the private room where Samuel was.
