"When did you get married? Were you deceived? Who is that man? I'll go find him." Andrew was furious and sounded like a concerned father.
In the past, Shelmaine might have been moved by this show of concern. But now, she felt only irony.
She coldly replied, "That's my business. It doesn't concern you."
There was a pause on the other end of the line before Andrew said, "You're still my daughter no matter what. If word got out that my daughter was being bullied, where would that leave my reputation?"
