It seemed the heavens were unwilling to give my father another chance.
When I finally woke up, I found myself lying on a hospital bed, wearing a patient gown and struggling for breath with an oxygen mask on. The room was empty, and no medical staff had noticed that I had regained consciousness.
I pulled off the oxygen mask and made my way out of the room. Just then, Dr. Sanders stepped into my path.
"Mr. Richardson, we meet again. But this time, I can't help you cover up anymore. You need to contact your family immediately to handle your hospitalization. Your condition can't allow you to keep going alone," he said seriously.
Dr. Sanders was my attending physician, and he certainly understood my condition well.
