As Mara hurried through the bustling JFK airport, her heels clicked rhythmically against the polished floor. She glanced over her shoulder, ensuring Clarissa was still in tow.
"Come on, Clarissa! We're going to miss our flight if we don't hurry," Mara called out, her voice tinged with exasperation.
Clarissa Noble, looking every bit the heiress she was, sauntered behind Mara, her designer luggage trailing behind her. "I still don't understand why we couldn't take the private jet," she grumbled, her perfectly manicured nails tapping irritably on her phone screen.
