Zachary's icy, questioning gaze locked onto her.
"Take this lunch box upstairs to Mason for me. I need to have a word with Mr. Gibson," she said.
Zachary's expression instantly froze over.
"This damn woman, you dare to order me around? And to meet Marvin, no less!" Zachary thought to himself.
Before he could explode in anger, Cynthia swiftly shoved the lunch box into his hands, grabbed Marvin's arm, and dashed away.
Her movements were so swift and decisive that in a blink, she disappeared from sight.
Zachary's expression darkened even further, veins visibly throbbing on his forehead.
Jesse, noticing Zachary's simmering rage and worried Mason might get caught in the crossfire, quickly sought an excuse. "Mr. Beaver, let me take the lunch box up to Mr. Mason instead."
"Take it? What for? Doesn't he have legs? Can't he come downstairs to eat?"
