Seeing that I remained silent, Selena let the matter drop. She only added in a disgruntled tone, "If I had known it would turn out like this, I would've made you stick to the contract with my company back then."
I had signed an agreement with her company, where they would cover four years of my tuition in exchange for at least five years of employment after graduation.
