Chapter 30 A Physical Examination
“Why are you suddenly asking about her?” Shane’s lips curled into a small smile as a glint flashed across his eyes. “Didn't you say that she is just a nobody? Since she doesn't matter, you shouldn’t concern yourself with whether she’d suffer from any long-term side effects.”
Henry grew displeased. “I indeed said such a thing, but that doesn't mean that I’m willing to see something happen to her.”
“Seems like you still care a great deal about her,” Shane chuckled.
Henry pressed his lips impatiently. “Answer my question!”
“Fine, I’ll tell you.” Shane sat up straight and grew serious. “She is in good physical condition, but I can’t tell for sure if she’ll suffer from any long-term side effects. After all, I wasn’t the one who checked her last time. Why don’t you bring her to me and I’ll get her checked personally?”
“Alright, I'll bring her over in a while.” Henry agreed without thinking.
After hanging up the phone, he took his coat off the coat rack and went out of his office.
