“At you.” Yvonne’s eyes disappeared behind her smile.
It was only then Lynette caught on to what Yvonne meant. She slapped Yvonne’s arm playfully, “Stop laughing! Gosh, my mom is acting like I’m an old maid.”
“Your mom is just worried about you,” Yvonne sipped on her fruit punch.
Lynette sighed, “I really don’t know what’s there to worry about. I’m still pretty young.”
“She just wants you to start a family sooner.”
“I know, but I just don't fancy any of the men who are here tonight,” Lynette swept her glance over the men in the room and commented in disgust.
Yvonne covered her lips and giggled, “If you don’t find any to your liking, then just find a reason to reject all of them.”
“For sure,” Lynette giggled too.
Yvonne looked left and right, “By the way, where’s your dad? I only saw your mom bustling around but not him.”
“My dad is resting due to his leg pain,” Lynette explained and pointed to one of the rooms.
