CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR – REBECCA THE MATCHMAKER
Rebecca grinned, pleased with her matchmaking skills. "Great! I'll help you plan everything. Leave it all to me!"
In hindsight, perhaps Rebecca should have been a bit less confident in her planning abilities.
The weekend arrived, and the trio set off for a nearby mountain resort. Rebecca had insisted on coming along, both to play peacekeeper and to enjoy a mini-vacation herself.
The first sign of trouble came when they arrived at the resort, only to find their cabin reservation had been lost.
"I'm terribly sorry," the flustered receptionist said, "but we have no record of your booking."
Leonard's face darkened. "That's impossible. We have a confirmation email."
As Leonard argued with the staff, Rebecca pulled Nancy aside. "Don't worry, we'll figure this out. Maybe we can find another place nearby?"
After an hour of frantic phone calls, they managed to secure a small cabin at a campground twenty miles away. It wasn't the luxury resort they'd planned on, but it would have to do.
