CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY – ASSASINATION
As the cruise ship approached its final port, a sense of bittersweet excitement filled the air. Passengers bustled about, packing their bags and exchanging contact information with new friends. For Rebecca, however, the mood was more complicated. Her sprained ankle, while improving, still caused her discomfort, and the events of the talent show lingered in her mind.
A knock on her cabin door roused Rebecca from her thoughts. She hobbled over, wincing slightly, and opened it to find Luca standing there, a concerned smile on his face.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, his eyes dropping to her bandaged ankle.
Rebecca shrugged, attempting a brave smile. "Better, I think. Still a bit sore, but I'll manage."
Luca's brow furrowed. "Listen, Rebecca," he began, his voice soft. "I've been thinking. Why don't you let me take you home? I want to make sure you get back safely and have a chance to properly recover."
