Days passed, and the estate slowly returned to a semblance of normalcy. However, the question of the mole still lingered.
Lucas and Chloe, though relieved to have Prescott behind bars, knew they couldn't rest until the traitor was found.
One evening, as they sat in their study, Chloe broke the silence. "Lucas, I've been thinking. What if the mole isn't who we think it is? What if we've been looking in the wrong place?"
Lucas looked at her, intrigued. "What do you mean?"
Chloe bit her lip, gathering her thoughts.
"We've been assuming the mole is someone close to us, but what if it's someone we haven't considered? Someone who has access but stays in the shadows?"
