Chapter 30: Wind Of Emotion
The Ferris wheel reached its peak, dangling Louis and Beth high above the twinkling cityscape. The sunset bled into a vibrant purple, mirroring the blush creeping up Beth's cheeks. Louis fidgeted with a small velvet box in his pocket, his heart hammering a frantic rhythm against his ribs.
"This view is incredible," Beth breathed, her eyes wide with wonder. "It's like we're on top of the world."
Louis swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. "There's something more incredible," he said, his voice barely a whisper. He cupped her hand in his, the warmth spreading through him. "Beth, ever since we met at that day on my thirteenth birthday, you've..." He paused, searching for the right words. "You've made me laugh harder than anyone, you challenge me to be better, and you somehow make burnt toast taste delicious." He chuckled, then took a deep breath. "I know this might sound cheesy and I know you have heard it over and over again , but I really really love you"
