Chapter 10
ARIA's perspective
The lady, the one who came to visit me just now, was gorgeous and I loved everything about her, tall with straightened blonde hair she wore a pantsuit and a lavender blouse. She looked confident and young.
A few minutes later she came back as she promised.
She had talked with the master and brought the keys to the handcuffs along with her.
When she said Neon wasn’t as he seems, I believe her, he looked rather mysterious.
I had to find out if there was some illegal business going on in the mansion.
“You never haven’t told me your name.”
“It’s Diana.” She smiled.
I wonder how she could smile in such a situation but her smile was beautiful.
She took the handcuff off my hand.
“There, you are free.” She dropped the handcuffs on the bedside table. “You are not going to run again, are you?”
“Not without your help.” I grinned.
“Thank you, Diana.”
“Good night, Aria. I will see you tomorrow.”
I nodded with a smile and watched her leave the room.
I was glad that there was someone I could talk to, Diana seemed friendly and nice. Such a kind-hearted lady.
I turned off the light beside me, pulled the pillow close, and lay on the bed with my eyes closed.
After sleeping for what seemed like a century, I was woken up by a sharp knock on the door, and a voice calling my mate.
I rubbed my eyes sleepily, yawned, and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was past six in the morning.
“Aria, do you want to have breakfast with me or do you want it in your room?” The bored voice sounded from the other side of the door.
I sprawled like a cat on the bed, I was cautious not to hurt the side of my ribs.
“It’s only six a.m.!” I cursed under my breath while.
It was just six a.m.!
I began to untangle myself from the bed sheet.
“Aria?”
“I’m coming. Give me a minute.” I stretched when I stood up from the bed.
I thought he was going to barge into the room like he always does.
But he didn’t.
I hurried down to the bathroom, splashed some water on my face combed my messy hair with my fingers, and tried to make it calm.
“Aria.” His voice sounded again.
I groaned and came out of the bathroom.
By the time I opened the door and was greeted by the sight of him, I was a bit flustered.
He was leaning against the wall that was beside the door, with his hands folded.
“Don’t make me wait, Aria.”
I almost rolled my eyes at him, I folded my arms just to mirror his pose.
He smirked, his eyes dilating with mischief.
“You had a good sleep last night, didn’t you?”
I stared at his pretty face which was plastered with a wry smile. “I’m afraid can’t say the same to for you,” I countered.
He grinned and leaned forward pulling me into his arms.
It caught me off guard. I blinked my eyes at him, speechless for a second with my mouth slightly parted.
He held me tightly by the waist and pulled me closer to him. Making me feel the warmth from his body through his shirt, and I could not help but swallow nervously.
“What are you doing?” I asked with my voice quivering a little.
“I have always wanted to do this.” He whispered into my ear and his lips brushed against mine with the merest touch.
My stomach erupted into an explosion of butterflies.
He let go of me gently, removing himself from the embrace. But I was still in shock, barely able to close my mouth.
“Let’s have breakfast.” He smirked and walked down the corridor.
I slapped my cheek to take my eyes off him but instead, my cheeks flushed furiously and probably turned red as a tomato.
Diana was already on the dining table when we got there, she smiled at me and I returned the smile and greeted her. We ate breakfast in a small, homely kitchen that was close to the dining. The cook had prepared breakfast with bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, sandwiches, and a rack of toast.
There was a lot to eat from.
We were eating quietly until I had to ask him when he would let me go.
He dropped his fork when the question came up and turned to stare at me.
“When are you going to let me go, that’s what I ask.”
“How many times are we going to talk about that, Aria? I already told you and I won’t let you go until you get to love me.” He stated nonchalantly.
“How am I going to love you?”
I hated him for having me kidnapped and making me feel strangely around him. It was so hard to decipher what exactly I was feeling each time I was around him.
“I will have to make you, I’m quite optimistic. You will end up falling in love with me.” He cleared his throat and glanced at me.
“Do you have a boyfriend?”
I coughed at his questions and Diana offered me some water to drink from and chugged it down my throat.
Why would he ask me such a question? Was it to mock me that I never got myself a boyfriend?
That was his plan wasn’t it, that’s why he wants to know if I have a boyfriend or not.
“You want more?” Diana took the empty glass and was refilling it, I shook my head at her, that I had had enough.
“Do you?” He pressed on with his questions.
I tilted my head to the side and smiled at him sweetly.
“Yes, I do have a boyfriend,” I said to taunt him but ended up regretting what I said.
A rumble came through his chest, his eyes grew darkened at me. I veered away from him and he stabbed the fork on his food.
My heart sped up at an abnormally fast pace, wondering why he sounded so dreadful.
“I can smell your lies, Aria.” The animalistic glint in his eyes made my stomach churn uneasily as I held right to my fork, and the other hand clasped over the trembling handle with the fork.
How could he sense my lies?
“Do not lie to me, I hate it and it shouldn't come from you. You don't have a boyfriend, that’s a relief. I would have killed him.”
The dark look he gave me, couldn’t describe how terrified I felt right now, my mind was in turmoil, who was he? And who are the kind of people that I am surrounded with?
He furrowed his brows at me and gripped my chin sharply. His long fingers glided across my cheeks and stroked the surface slightly.
“You are mine.”
