Tiffany was not happy with how Mortimer ordered her around. She wasn’t his maid! However, she didn’t want to anger him further, so she returned to her room to fume. Tiffany flopped back on her bed, staring at the ceiling as she processed her thoughts. Yes, she used to adore Seth, but she could no longer trust him after finding out he had cheated on her. She would have almost forgotten about him if Tabitha hadn’t called. The thought of Seth gambling his money away and getting arrested for it was a far cry from the refined and virtuous gentleman Tiffany used to think he was. It was a peculiar feeling.
