CHAPTER 166: STAYING IN TOUCH

"I'm sorry, but you can't get in," one of the guards said.
"What do you mean I can't get in?"
"I don't know, but those are the orders given to us," the guard explained.
"Yeah, you'll have to come back later," the other man said, supporting his colleague.
I stood before my dad's ward, trying to find my way in. He had been admitted to the hospital after being shot.
"Can you just explain to me why I can't see my father? I didn't come all this way for nothing," I said, pointing towards the room.
The two men stood firmly at the door, refusing to move.
"We can't do much right now. He doesn't want any visitors for now," the guard said. As he spoke, a group of men in black suits marched down the hallway towards us.
"Who are those?" I asked, pointing at the men approaching us.
"The rest of the guards," the other guard said.
As they approached, I noticed that new ones had replaced many familiar faces. A new security detail was taking over.
