"He will be fine!" Crystal assured me.
I didn't doubt her because I wanted him to recover.
"I know. Thank you," I responded.
Crystal kept telling me not to be anxious, but it was written all over my face. I couldn't hide it. My father meant the whole world to me, and hearing such news almost drove me crazy. Crystal had the stroller, pushing the baby behind me.
I rushed to the hospital, my heart racing like a jackrabbit. The tension in the air was palpable as I approached the ICU. I saw his bodyguards, usually stoic, unable to meet my gaze.
