"Yeah. Don't worry about it. I'll check your pulse first. Your condition is complicated, to begin with." Perseus sat by the side of the bed and closed his eyes while he checked Kelvin's pulse. After ten long minutes, he released the latter's hand and opened his eyes closely.

Sarah, Kelvin, and Alfred asked immediately.
"I know all of you are anxious, but don't get all worked up. Listen to what I have to say." Perseus signaled for the three of them to calm down. Then, he turned around and looked at Kelvin with a cold glance. "You don't trust me, do you?"
"Huh? I-I do." Kelvin was creeped out by the way Perseus looked at him.
"Why would you say something like that, Dr. Caitford? We've given you a lot for the sake of Kelvin's condition." Sarah frowned and wore a displeased expression. Good on Perseus. He was trying to extort her again. She might've been rich, but she packed a brain, too.
