“Amara,” Elvis had cautiously called out to his granddaughter while they were in the car. His voice was low, preventing Lorenzo who was on a call from listening to what he was going to say.
“When you get back, please don’t trouble those two. Ever since your parents death, our family has never been at peace, but I want that to change. Despite all that has been done, I want us all to live in peace, so please,”
He took his granddaughter’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “Please don’t stir up trouble.”
Amara had stared blankly at her grandfather for a few seconds before smiling.
“Alright.”
Even though she had easily agreed, Elvis could tell that she didn’t fully agree with his perspective.
And he was right, because less than an hour after they had that talk, Amara stood by the poolside, staring down at Katerina with a cold expression after having emptied an entire glass of lemonade over her head.
