Chapter 183

Amara stared emotionlessly at the picture, along side letter. All at once, she was feeling so many emotions, frustration, anger, annoyance, worry and fear, but could express none as it all felt too much. So gently, she placed the photos down and lowered her head into her hand, releasing a long and loud sigh almost as if to calm her racing nerves. She should have expected this; Amara thought, biting on the inside of her mouth as punishment for thinking the peace she craved could be gotten so easily. If this person was indeed who she thinks he is, which he has proven yet again that he in fact is, then the things she has experienced in the past days, this included, would only just be the beginning. It would not end so easily, nor will it be over with in a snap of her fingers, or be as simple as she expected. That realization- although always prominent in the back of her mind since the beginning of this new peace less chapter of her life- struck hard, so hard that Amara had the urge to cry
