True to what Tobias had said, the signal on their phone had stopped working. Amara had tried calling Elijah and Bethany even, but the lines didn’t go through.
The rain, she came to the conclusion was the cause of all this. It was falling too heavily and there was even a high possibility of thunderstorms happening soon.
Ah, this is why she has always hated the rain, Amara thought as she glanced at the door, glaring, as she knew beyond it, stood one of her most hated siblings, waiting for her to saunter bright over and welcome them into her humble abode.
Now believe it or not, Amara didn’t want to do that. She knew for a fact that only stupid people would do such a thing. But she also knew that the more she kept them standing outside, the more chances of them getting sick and catching a fever increased, then they’d have more reasons to point fingers at her, call her names and worst of all, remain in her life.
