~Jasmine~ “Jass!” The deep voice was urgent, and concerned. “Are you okay? What happened?” I blinked rapidly, trying to clear the fog in my vision. My breath came in sharp, shallow bursts, and my entire body felt drained of its strength. “Alpha Zeph?” My voice barely made it past my lips as he guided me toward his car, his grip tightening slightly. “You’re burning up,” he muttered, his eyes scanning me with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. “I’m fine,” I lied, swallowing hard. “Just a little… lightheaded.” The look he gave me told me he didn’t believe a word of it. But before he could question me further, I felt another pair of eyes on me. It was malicious, and filled with disdain. Isabella. She stood a few feet away, arms crossed over her chest, lips pursed in a deep scowl. Her glare was pure venom, and I knew exactly what she was thinking. The silent accusation burned between us like a roaring fire. I knew she wanted to say something, to lash out like she had earlier, bu
