Just as Lily heard a disgusting groan from Bruce and felt his body jerk, she quickly pulled herself free from his grip. She turned and ran toward the door without looking at what had happened to him. She pushed the door open forcefully, and to her surprise, she saw Hayden coming out of the elevator. "Lily!" His anger flared up instantly, and he cursed loudly, "Damn it! I'll kill you!" Without hesitation, he charged at Bruce.
