Chapter 10 No Right to Bargain

Tamara’s face fell. She hurriedly typed: “I didn’t follow you, Mr. Lynch, and I never lie. Not every woman here is out to get you. Please get off your high horse.” When Sebastian read what she wrote, he was furious. He let out a cruel chuckle. “Do you think I’d trust the words of a scheming bitch like you?” Tamara stood her ground. “Believe what you want.” Sebastian sneered. “You must have run out of excuses. Hurry up and go home. You’re not to leave the house without my permission. Don’t forget, you’re pregnant with my child. If anything happens to the child, I’ll make your life a living hell!” Tamara panicked. “Sebastian Lynch! You have no right to strip me of my freedom! Might I remind you that you’ve signed the divorce settlement agreement too? We agreed we wouldn’t bother each other!” After reading the text, Sebastian knew how furious Tamara was. “Tamara Simmons, you have no right to bargain with me! You were the one who forced this marriage! And now, you have to listen to what I say. The agreement only works on you but not on me!” Sebastian sounded cold. He grabbed Tamara and dragged her to the lift. Tamara struggled against him, but he was too strong. Her wrist was hurting from his strong grip! “Tammy!” Suddenly, Margot called out from behind them. Tamara immediately looked to Margot for help. “Mr. Lynch! What are you doing?” Margot rushed over and pulled Tamara behind her. Sebastian’s face darkened. “What business do you have with her?” Margot knew how ill-tempered these rich folks were, especially Sebastian, whose mood swings were on another level entirely. She put on a smile. “Mr. Lynch, all the customers here are my contacts. And Tammy is my best friend. I invited her here. I can’t just turn a blind eye to what happens to her, can I?” Sebastian was not expecting that. Was Tamara really here to visit her friend? Seeing how Margot was defending Tamara, Sebastian’s annoyance grew for some reason. Even so, he held his tongue and merely cast a warning look at Tamara. “Be good.” He returned to the lounge right after. After Margot was sure he’d left, she turned to check on Tamara. “Tammy, are you alright?” Tamara shook her head. “Margot, someone sneaked in. They told me you were in trouble, but I managed to escape them. You have to look into that.” Margot frowned. “I can’t believe that happened. Don’t worry, Tammy. I’ll get to the bottom of this.” Tamara nodded. “Then I’ll be going back downstairs. I’m not done with mixing the drinks yet.” “Ms. Bishoy, I’ve failed my mission. Tamara was too alert and didn’t do as I say.” A waiter was standing in front of a woman whose head hung low. “What a useless piece of trash. Get out.” Although the woman had a siren-like voice, one could hear the impatience in it. The waiter hurried away. The woman smirked. “No one has ever stolen my prey from me. That bitch, I won’t let her go this easily!” When Sebastian returned to the lounge, he was greeted by Benjamin’s taunt “Oh? Who pissed off our dear Mr. Lynch now? Why do you look so frustrated?” Sebastian glared at him. “Where are the drinks?”
