Chapter 37 Curtis' Helping Hand
'Curtis is investigating the accident?' Sabrina pondered with a puzzled look on her face as she held on to the bowl of soup.
"Grandpa, I can handle this myself. There's no need to involve Curtis, especially since he's busier than I am."
Guilt crept into Sabrina’s heart for imposing on Curtis with her problems. After all, everyone was juggling their own life's chaos and it was unfair to shift her problems onto another person.
Besides, she and Curtis were not exactly lovebirds. The relationship was merely one of mutual respect and cooperation.
Sabrina hesitated to impose on Curtis, fearing the he might not be inclined to help. She was already more than grateful for his help so far.
"Your thinking is flawed," Grandpa shot back. "He's your husband now. It's only right he helps. You've got your job and me to look after. It’s only appropriate that Curtis takes on this task."
