Cornor immediately got off Kiara as they both gave the control to Lance and gwen. "you smell that". Lance said, sniffing the air. "yes, it's the smell of blood". Gwen replied worriedly. "go back home, I'll go check it out". he said, as he turned to place a kiss on her forehead. "no lance, that's not happening, I'm not a weakling, and I'm definitely not leaving till I know what this is, it's my pack too, and I also have a duty to protect it". she replied. "no, that's not happening, i can't let anything bad happen to you, and it's my duty to protect you too". "Just like how you love and cherish me, it's the same feeling I have towards the pack, I can take care of myself too, I'm strong, and I'm not leaving, that's final". she replied, a note of finality in her voice. Lance sighed before raising his hands up in surrender. "Fine, you're just to stubborn". he said. "let's go, the smell coming from the pack border". he growled as he made to leave, but was stopped by gwen.
