"If you don't even trust the person you've shared a bed with for years, who else can you trust?" Leonardo asked.
"I don't trust anyone," I retorted sarcastically through clenched teeth. "I only trust what I see with my own eyes."
Leonardo's brows furrowed deeply.
"I've said what needed to be said. Whether it was Alexis or William, that night at the hotel was just a misunderstanding. William has already promised he'll behave and live peacefully with you from now on. Stop causing trouble and move back home. If William's mother finds out you've been making such a fuss, just think how embarrassing that would be."
I lowered my eyes, clenching my fists. I forced a smile and said, "Fine. I won't cause trouble anymore."
