Chapter 12

Ansel panicked when he heard Holly say Sabrina didn't want him anymore. He shoved her away and screamed, "You're lying! Mom would never abandon me!" Holly stood at the top of the staircase, so Ansel made her fall backward and roll down the stairs with his shove. She screamed as blood pooled around her legs. Ansel's gaze traveled between his hands and Holly, who lay in a puddle of blood. Then, he passed out. When Jordan regained consciousness, he learned two things. The first was that Holly had been admitted to the hospital after suffering a miscarriage. The second was that Ansel had also ended up in the hospital after being terrorized by Holly.
