Brandon was forcibly taken back to the Price Residence in Camden City. His family had bodyguards keeping watch over him. He wasn't allowed to leave the house, much less go to Porthaven City. Over the past few days, members of the Price family had taken turns trying to persuade him to come to his senses. I was already married to Felix. This was an unchangeable fact. If he continued to act so recklessly, all he would do was offend the Fullmans, which would be bad. However, Brandon refused to listen to sense. He didn't even respond to their concern. Instead, he instructed Evan to bring the jewelry chest to him at the Price residence. He had personally bought every piece of jewelry in that chest for me. His heart felt heavy as he stared at the contents of the chest. There was a pain in his chest that made every breath difficult. Everyone knew how much he liked me and cared for me in the past. However, in just a short few years, he had lost himself to the temptations of the world.
