Serena felt as if she had touched something filthy when he grabbed her arm. She jerked her arm forcefully, pulling away from Zach. The disgust in her eyes deepened. "Zach, stop pretending. You've trampled my sincerity over and over. Now, do you think this ring can fix everything? Not a chance!" Her words hit him like a punch, and he stumbled, struggling to regain his composure.
