The moment was awesome! Anna wanted to scream at the top of her voice and tell Steve that she missed him inside of her and that if he had been gentle and used the sweet words he was using that day, a lot of things in the bedroom would have been different. Well, Steve was not gentle and every time they made love, Anna was left experiencing physical pain as a result of intimacy. She wanted to raise the issue now that they were on good terms and see if Steve would change but then her plan was interrupted by Steve who still felt he was not done yet expressing his feelings. Steve had so much to say and didn't want her to take that time away. He continued… “You are an amazing woman and you deserve the best treatment in the world. Tonight, I am going to make you scream my name and I will be listening to the rhythm of your heartbeats as you call me your king huh!” the words made Anna shy and she looked away. “When are you coming?” she finally asked. “Just don't stress…leave the door open,” he said. Of course, Anna would never dare to leave the door open. It would cause problems between them and he would deny asking her to do so. Anna didn't agree with him, but she chose to keep silent. It was not him speaking but the liquor he had taken was making him promise her heavens and even ask her to do things he would never ask her when he was sober. Steve made Anna breathless and she loved it. In a fraction of a second, she was already hoping to hold his hands and kiss him. Well, what more would she have wanted in the world when the man of her dreams was saying just what she wanted to hear? But then it was different; Steve was not the kind that gave compliments to women just like that unless he had “interests” that he wanted met. Thoughts crowded Anna’s mind as she wondered what it might be that Steve wanted from her since the last time he was that sweet, he wanted something in exchange and when he didn't get it, he became violent. The good thing was the person he was making the demands to at that particular time was not Anna but the woman he was cheating on Anna with and well, they had both moved past it now and the phone call could clearly show.. Anna was shy and took longer to respond. Steve knew that and so he made it even harder for her to respond. Anna was not used to such words and so she struggled to speak. She was however interrupted by Steve as he continued to flirt with her. “Don’t you love me anymore?” he paused and then continued… “Well, you don’t have to say anything. I know you love me just as much. Tell me, what would you want me to buy for you? You know I can do anything for you,” he said. All that Steve was saying did not make sense to Anna but at least, it made her happy. She had so many questions but she didn't want to ruin the moment and so she played along. “Just get me anything you like. I don't want to pressure you,” she said. “Alright, I will do exactly that.” he said calmly. “Okay, you are so sweet,” she said. “I will be there with you soon!” Steve said as he made his way to the car. “Really? Do you mean it?” Anna was doubtful. She didn't think he would still come home considering it was late in the night. Though they had been married for quite a long time, Steve had never been romantic. All he did was provide the basics; food, clothes, and shelter and ignore Anna’s emotions. This was a new version of him! “Yes and by the way, I am still waiting for a photo of your sexy thighs please,” Steve pushed things harder. “I am headed to the shower, can you give me some minutes to clean up?” Anna said. Moments later, Anna got out of the bathroom and put on a sexy nightie. It revealed most parts of her body and she felt sexy in it. Anna took a photo of herself in the nightie in the mirror. She looked seductive and knew that Steve would think the same of her. Anna pressed the send button and moments later, Steve reacted to the photo. It was evident he liked it. He called Anna on the phone again and made himself clear. “From tonight, you will get to experience the love you have been missing. I promise to be the man of your dreams and that you will never feel alone ever again,” he said with certainty. “Are you serious?” she wondered. “Yes, I am dead serious, my queen!” His voice seemed to have the assurance that left Anna wondering whether the sudden change was because of the coming anniversary or he had just decided to change his ways. She kept asking herself if he was really the same man they had been living together under the same roof or if he was just playing some tricks on her. Deep inside she desired that version of him but she had gotten used to the everyday misery. The man on the phone was nothing but a dream; too good to be true! “I love you, Steve,” she whispered. Steve smiled foolishly as he listened to her murmur. It was as if she wasn’t sure about what she felt towards him but she still let it out. “I would rather tell you face to face. Please let me not spill it when I am still out here. I need to be there with you and kiss you as I share my feelings,” he assured her. “Alright,” she said shyly. Steve then cleared his throat… “I am coming home, sweetheart,” he stated “Please, wait up for me!” Steve continued, “I need to share these unforgettable moments with you.” Anna was shocked beyond words. She didn’t think such a version of him existed. He had been resigned lately and all he used to do was focus on work. He made her feel like she was never a priority. Anna didn't want to argue since the previous night had not been the best. She wanted to be a good wife. A submissive one for that matter. “Sure honey,” Anna said in an attempt to stop the flirtation. “I miss you,” he said softly. “You will be here in a moment and you will get to see me. Patience is a virtue. Practice it huh,” she said but before she could put the phone back he heard more to say. “You know how much I miss being in your arms?” he added. It was the first time she was calling him honey. Their marriage life had not been the best and so many things had been going wrong, but none of the words were true even on this day. The fact that the words were scaring Anna made her feel like she should not trust the operator. According to her, the person on the line was simply an imposter trying to confuse her and play with her feelings. But owe unto him, Anna was too smart to be played, or at least she felt that. Suddenly, someone was calling from the gate. It was Steve and he was not sounding as sexy as Anna had heard him when he was on the phone. She wondered if indeed it had been Steve or someone else had taken his phone and dialed her number but then again, he was so real and the voice was exactly his. Just what was happening to her? “How could it feel so real? Could it be a message that he is going to change or what exactly was it about?” she wondered but there was no time to think. Her husband was already yelling and she had to go open the door for him before he broke it!
