"Totally! I goofed. I swear I'll watch my words next time." Seeing Ethan really ticked off, Jean quickly reassured him she meant it.
Suddenly, she asked Vivian, "Hey, madam, you up for a drink?"
"No thanks," Vivian said, checking the time. "It's pretty late. We should hit the hay."
With a casual dismissal, they sent the house staff off to bed, leaving just Vivian and Ethan. Together, they went upstairs, back to their main bedroom.
Their "honeymoon hideaway", as they'd lovingly called it, was packed with memories of good times and cozy nights.
Now, after being away for a month, stepping back in felt like a trip down memory lane for Vivian.
The last time she was here, she'd picked up her laptop from the game room, taking some clothes.
Now, she wondered if she'd left enough for a change after her bath tonight. With that, she swung the walk-in closet door open.
