People tend to drink for two reasons: when they’re celebrating or when they’re feeling down. Yet, the consequences often remain the same. Alcohol rarely solves problems. Nevertheless, for some, it offers a fleeting escape, a way to momentarily escape reality’s harshness.
Christina was one of those people who found solace in a drink. Even if only briefly, it allowed her to step away from her consciousness, and that brief respite meant a lot to her.
