Lucas nodded, pulling her close. "You're right. I'm sorry I've been so pushy about changing things. I just... I want us to succeed so badly."
"I know," Ella said softly. "Me too. But maybe instead of trying to out-fancy La Belle Vie, we should focus on what we do best. Good food, made with love, in a place where people feel at home."
Lucas was quiet for a moment, then smiled. "You know what? You're absolutely right. That's what people loved about the community dinner, wasn't it? It wasn't about fancy techniques or elaborate presentations. It was about bringing people together."
Ella beamed at him. "Exactly! We don't need to be La Belle Vie. We just need to be the best version of ourselves."
As they sat there, arms around each other, the tension of the past few days finally began to dissipate. They had faced challenges before, and they would face more in the future. But as long as they remembered to work together, to laugh together, they could handle anything that came their way.
