Lauretta and Brandon exchanged silent looks, and her eyes turned to slits. "You blabbermouth!" she swore slowly. "You just couldn't keep your mouth shut for two fucking seconds, huh?"
Lorenzo removed her hand from his and stood up. "You both knew about this and still didn't tell me?" he asked again, his voice flat and utterly devoid of emotion.
The tension in the room was heavy as the question hung between them all. Lorenzo's eyes flitted to Ryan, and he saw a guilty expression cross his face. "You knew too?!" he asked, his heart sinking further.
The betrayal stung, and he felt like he'd been punched in the gut. "What... did Dad know too? How come I'm the last one to find out about this? While still being the victim?" he asked, his voice trembling with anger and hurt.
"I can assure you that I had no idea about any of this until now," Gabriel said.
