Lauretta remained unaware of the events unfolding near the golf course; her mind was elsewhere. She was captivated by Cameron's skill in preparing the horses for riding, and they quickly chose their mounts. As Cameron animatedly shared stories about his riding experiences, Lauretta found herself thoroughly enjoying his company.
