The people around them vanished into thin air like pencil sketches wiped clean with an eraser, leaving only a few people around the table.
Their surrounding environment was still the same as it was before—the steakhouse. The difference was that the originally clean and bright steakhouse now looked as if it had experienced decades of weathering.
The window blinds were in tatters while the furniture showed signs of decay and was littered with cracks. The once-smooth walls were covered with sticky, blue-grey substances that looked incredibly similar to rotting meat.
Carter, who had three eyes on his face, looked a little delirious.
Dazed, he asked dumbly, "Why has everyone left?"
Nobody replied.
Then, someone whimpered, "Save me…"
"Don't worry. Stay calm," said someone else. "It could be some sort of optical illusion."
Yet another person added, murmuring as if to assure themselves, "That's right. Stay calm. First, we need to determine whether this is our own personal hallucination
