Elara's dreams were fragmented.
She ran a high fever after the downpour on the island.
Still, she quietly visited the merman at night, dragging along a water barrel that was comparatively huge for her tiny frame.
She pushed the barrel over by the cage, pouring water onto the merman's tail.

Too bad his tail—the source of his energy—was torn. Without his tail, he couldn't leave this place for the time being.
More injuries had appeared on his dazzling tail. Elara felt sorry for him.
She bent over and blew at the wound with traces of gold-tinged blood.
The merman's pupils constricted suddenly. Brows furrowed, he put on a weird look as he watched the trembling Elara clumsily blowing on his wound.
