CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY: MISSED ME
Anna hadn’t seen Oliver since Jonathan had left on his trip. The days felt long and empty without the little boy’s laughter and infectious energy. She missed him terribly, and the guilt gnawed at her for not spending enough time with him, given how tangled her life had become. It was time to fix that.
One sunny afternoon, Anna decided to visit the family mansion to see Oliver. She needed to reconnect with him and spend quality time together, hoping it might bring some semblance of normalcy back into her chaotic life.
The family mansion stood grand and imposing, surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens. Anna felt a pang of nostalgia as she approached the front door, remembering the countless moments she had shared here with Jonathan and Oliver. She rang the doorbell, and a few moments later, Mrs. Peterson, the housekeeper, opened the door.
“Miss Anna! What a pleasant surprise,” Mrs. Peterson exclaimed, her face lighting up with a warm smile.
